aren't those akita's like the shiba inu's? or is there a difference?

edit: i've always wanted a shiba and just wondering if one is superior to the other or not.

Huge difference especially in size lol. Akitas were bred to protect royal families of Japan way back when. And when my dad had ours that thing checked my room 3 times a night and made sure I was alive. And when I had my door shut it would paw at the door until I opened it. Most loyal dog I've ever owned. We also had a Doberman and he was a huge sissy lol. But you take one look at him behind a fence and noone was thinking of coming in

I had a german shepard which lived though full blown parvo! Thw dog was extremely protective of me,if anyone grabbed me the dog would just jump on them. I remember awhile ago he mistook me for a toy and threw me around the yard when I was like 5 LOL! He recently passed away along with our lab :(

Rest In Peace mother.
