Southnash Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Install them & just switch the axis switch back & forth.. Your more than likely going to have them OFF axis, but whatever sounds good to YOU! That's all that matters!
hdorre Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 The on/off-axis is explained in the directions. The axis depends on where these are being mounted. raytard Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Moral of the story is, when a tweeter is mounted off-axis (aka not facing you/on a different plane than the mid) it can slide a bit out of phase, that little switch makes your life easy and slides it back in to give you a nice solid image. Sometimes you can get it far enough out of whack that it actually goes back to being correct, which is why we say to just play with it and see what sounds best. Also, i hope you're throwing a ton of power at them, they're not happy with <100watts rms. They aren't really power hungry like some speakers, but they do love a lot of motivation. I will be giving them at bare minimum 100 rms yea.
