may03LT Posted February 28, 2011 Report Share Posted February 28, 2011 Mechanic that did the belt said a vacuum leak could be the problem also, he had scanner and told me the throttle position sensor I had just replaced was not working I wonder how the fuck did he have time to dick around with the tps values but wouldn't note ltft? I mean ffs if he knew you were chasing a (potential) vac leak he could have at least gave you that. From your first post it sounds like ignition. STEvil Posted March 1, 2011 Report Share Posted March 1, 2011 can spray ether around a bit. If your motor revs up when spraying near a certain point you will have found the leak. Dont spray a lot, ether can harm your motor. Just need little puffs basically. It is also possible that your choke could be working incorrectly, or the throttle position sensor is not function right it could be the source of the issue. Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it.
