Hey man, The problem with ur soldering is it doesnt look like its getting how enough. What I like to do with thicker gauged wire like that, I like to wrap a wet paper towel around the wrap (the blue covering) close to the wire to prevent it from melting. Then I get a brush and brush some flux on to the wire. Light a butane torch and hold it under the wire, U will know when it gets hot enough because the flux will start to bubble a little and smoke. Then shove the solder wire into it until It wont absorb any more. Clean it off and heat shrink it! Just how I do it (: Lookin good boss

Oh and twist all those wires together then solder

I got a mini butane torch that has a soldering tip for it, but is also just a torch. I never use the soldering tip, but when I do bigger wires, 8 - 1/0 ga, I always use that. Never thought about the wet paper or whatever around the plastic but that's a good idea too! I just always figure i'm gonna shrink over it anyway, who cares if it melts, but I guess you can kind of see the rough edges too. Anyway, now all you need is a second amp and then you're really gonna pound!

Thanks guys! Thanks to 99vic I have this amp! And got it all wired up and bumpin!! But I as much I hate to say...I don't HEAR much of a diff between the JL and sundown sadly...but I REALLY FEEL the diff haha. Love the feeling!! I'm going to get it all tuned up 2moro and hope to hear a diff! Can't wait! Will get vids 2moro! I tried using the JL knob and didn't work. Is there any way I can?? Cuz I like the JL knob A LOT BETTER!

Good to see you got more power! But you may not hear much difference until you add that third sub. Then, I'd say it will all come alive!

And sorry, but no you gotta get used to the new bass knob

Yeah I have one of those also. I didn't like the performance of the soldering so I just went old school and got an electric one. Omg damn....ANOTHER!?? I need money....and my dad actually likes the JL more cuz its more quality. He always picks quality over loudness. But now since we already got it we have to put it in. And we started smelling some speakers cooking. Clipping maybe?? I need a DD-1!!! Now the JL is moving on to the Porsche cuz exactly sat I burned that amp out. Since I had it placed under the passenger seat. And it gets HOT!! It kept turning off and now it still turns on but it just makes a bunch of sound when no music is playing, it still sounds when I even set "Sub off" on the HU. Still makes sound. But oh well.im gonna take it to my local car audio guy and c if he can fix it. JL here I come!! And SUNDOWN! Haha

Yeah thanks man! Thing is if I get third sub I would only b putting out 2.6 ohms. So I will only b getting 800 watts out of the 1500 watt amp. I was thinking of maybe getting the third sub and wiring that up with the JL. But then would b uneven wattage on the 3 sub. So idk what to do. Cuz I want to have 1500 watts. What I paid for. Haha know what I mean? The only reason I like the JL knob is cuz I have it mounted on the dash. And looks clean.
