Who can tell me which would be best for a starting battery?

That is a very broad question that really needs more information such as the type of vehicle and its use/load requirements. But I would go with the cheapest if all it is being used for is for starting a normal vehicle such as a four door sedan.

I think is just personal prefernace. For me, my only battery is used for everything ( 06 yukon with around 1400rms ).For alomst three years i used just my stock battery with my system and was the original battery for may car (5+years ). So i just looked around here for a while and was looking at what people were saying, and it seemed to me that almost every thread i looked at they said that xspower was the way to go, so i went with a s3400 from xspower.
