cubs_fan0718
when the gain is all the way up aloing with the bass boost it will clip lol. You shouldnt want to know where it clips, you should set ur gain accordingly with a DMM, theres a chart on here i dont know where it is but it explains how to do it. edit i noticed u have 4ga power wire in ur sig, if ur gonna run that aq amp u need to invest in 0/1ga wire. 06 Impala SSKenwood Excelon DDX593 Ampere Audio 150.4 Ampere Audio 5K1 XS D4700 (front)Mechman 320a Alt. w/ Big 3 Lots of Second Skin Damplifier Under Construction for 2017
Trâgîk
There is no certain setting for the amp to clip. It will clip when it senses a clipped signal. -----SELLING EVERYTHING---- 2 DC sound labs 3.5k's (still avail) 2 HDC312A D1's (still avail) 5 XS Power Batteries (1 d3400 and 1 d1200 left) 4 runs of knukoncepz 0 gauge (have all the wire still) DC power 270XP alt (sold) RF T1 6.5 components (both sold) Powerbass XAX 4160 (still avail) Custom built box 4.75^3 tuned 34hz (still avail)

Guest
you dont need an oscope for a freaking audioque amplifier. it TELLS YOU when you're clipping by blinking a bright ass red LED. you dont even need a dmm if you are going to utilize the full power of the amp. hell i didnt even oscope or dmm my 1200d. i just turned the gain up half way to start off and magically found that it was the right setting. now when the remote knob is at about 3/4 up, i will start to clip. i have that extra 1/4 turn headroom whenever i need it for songs with quiet bass. iKidwell
ask Dr. Subwoofer, he's pretty knowledgeable on everything car audio c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
crunkjuice1
yup thats exactly what you need but start checking for clipping all the way from you headunit. I did this last night and I'm comfortable now knowing clean signal is going from headunit to EQ to amps.
