If not I will put back to 8 Ohms. SQMonte Posted March 10, 2011 Report Share Posted March 10, 2011 It looks like the problem is that your amp, when in bridged mode (2ch operation), it's only stable to 4 ohms bridged. Since your subs are dvc 4 ohm subs, each sub is wired to 2 ohms. That's why it's getting so hot for sure, surprised it hasn't gone into protect actually. And your gain should be reset when you change impedance like that....but that's a non-issue since your amp isn't stable to run 2 ohms per channel when bridged anyway.
