adam6604
check first to see if they are dual 4's or 2's. this is very important to help you choose an amp yeah i understand, but im going to sound like an idiot.. and How exactly do you find out if the are D2 or D4? other then the website, i bought them used.. so i physically have them beside me and thats all i can use to find out You can check it with a DMM if you have one Or it sometimes says it somewhere on the sub i put my DMM on ohm's and put the positive to positive etc. and it read 15.6 ish and my other sub read 14.7 what does that mean lol Quote Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. smashedz28
not exactly it doesnt. You need an amp that makes its power at a 2 ohm load now. i dont think since your new to this you should plan on a .5ohm system. you want an amp that makes the power you need at 2 ohms. Guest
you can get an amp thats internally strapped to make its highest output at 2 ohms only amp that i can think of that does that in that power range is the audiopipe 3000. but you CAN get 2 smaller amplifiers and strap them together, but you better read on how to do that first. blownengine
If you wire them down to .5 ohms you can run the Soundstream TX1-2600D. 2600 Watts at .5 ohms. But it would be more expensive. So I guess im not really helping the problem.....
