With two dual 2 ohm speakers you should wire it at two ohms

Here's a diagram of how to wire then to get the 2 ohm load

Ok.. this brings another question that I need help with asap.

The amp (ovn1-5500d) Power acoustik 5500 watt gothic series, etc.

Pos Pos Neg Neg

It doesnt say its bridgable.. so can i still hook it up.. Left pos / Right neg and leave the other pos and neg in the middle alone.

Help me out here.. was hookin it up today.. and realized it didnt say bridged like the other amps ive had so..

HELP please and thanks.

yes that is fine its internally bridged for ease of wiring

you will be fine hooking it up like you said :drinks:

For real? ok sweet, thanks so much.. that halted my work.. but i need a bit to predrill some holes in the box i made for my subs.. I got everything all hooked up just need a damn bit now lol and that question..

Actually.. I got another question. does the wire fully matter for now.

I got 8g wire for the subs.. and i ran out of wire to actually run from the amp to the sub terminals.

Does it matter if the wires thick.. its 8g but it has like 8 strands.. instead of like 100 little strands.. will that make a difference?

plan on buyin some more in the future.. just ran out and keep getting kicked in the ass.

as long as its 8 gauge its fine

if you wanna order some 8 gauge this is what i use for wiring my subs and its not that expensive

http://darvex.com/store/pc/Stinger-HPM-Series-8-Gauge-Blue-Power-Ground-Wire-54p649.htm

Thanks but heh.. just weird.. theres like 8 wires in 1 tube instead of the 100s of strands..

But anyways im just gonna order some more just not this second.

and.. now my power and ground wires 8g also.. from last system.. should i 1/0g that shit out..

plan on it for the future cuz i have my subs in the back facin towards me and.. i wanna put my amp on the back of my box but the damn wires wont reach..

so i need the new wire anyways with a few extra feet.

and do u need 1/0 for the big 3 upgrade?

that amp uses 1/0 for power and ground so using 8 gauge for that amp is starving it

so yes i would get a 1/0 amp wiring kit for it

and if your going to do the big three then use 1/0 so you dont have to go and redo it

do it right the first time around

ok thanks.. so 1/0 power and ground.. and use the same rca cables?

And my amp says its 1 ohm stable.. does that matter anything?

yup 1/0 power and ground

same rcas will be fine

and that just means your amp is stable down to a 1 ohm load but with your subs you will be wiring to two ohms

1 ohm stable means that is the lowest ohm load you can wire the amp to and it still be stable

heres some 1/0 amp kits
