Thought it might be magazine. Haven't replaced it yet im hoping you guys will have a answer My second guess would be to polish the feed ramp but im no expert what type of ammo are you using? you have to remember that back then all they had was ball ammo, so modern hollow points dont always feed reliably. i did a complete re-build and re-finish on 2 1903's not too long ago, both with serial numbers dating them to 1917. in both, i had to break them down and re-grind and polish the feed ramp to make them reliable with hollow point. Rection Posted March 21, 2011 Report Share Posted March 21, 2011 (edited) how dry is your gun inside? his problem isnt lube related. 1903 doesnt have to run wet like a 1911, its runs semi-dry like a glock.
