I've always wondered but never have found out. Besides not having to turn the gain on the amp up higher, the higher the prevolt output the less chance you will hear the musics floor noise threw the speakers. When you say "the musics floor noise" what do you mean by that? I've never heard that term used before. i think he means like the engine noise you can get through your rca cables, its like a constant fuzz in the background of the music, but usually if you run your power and rca cables on opposite sides of the car you get very minimal if any I'm pretty sure that engine noise is from having a ground loop. I think what he is referring to is different than engine noise.
