Alright u dont need to sit here and call me names and stuff. Who care if im new at it...we all were at some point and im trying to learn.

It depends on the enclosure also.

I have ran 2500rms to an sx before, and I try to give them 1500rms on a regular basis.

Since it seems like you want to run over what is recommended go ahead and do it.

When you blow it up it will only cost you 240.00 to get it reconed.

I like that too. If you are having to ask about overpowering a sub you probably should just stick to running the RMS and being safe. Not trying to be an asshole or anything. People see Meade and other people running way more than RMs and think they can too, when that is most certainly not the case. I personally would not try sending more than 1500wrms to the SX until you get more experience (with the sub)...that will still have you running 150% of the rms rating.
