Beyma and crossovers

thinking about maybe getting some beyma 6.5's probly just 2 to start out cuz theyre a bit pricey.

i dont really see component sets anywhere with them.

so my question is, do i need crossovers to run them correctly and to their full potential?

ive never messed with components and crossovers so any tips would be appreciated.

and also. would selenium even compare to beyma? price wise, selenium is better for me. but the SQ of beymas are top notch. so is the price worth to just get 2 6.5's or stack up on seleniums?

thanks

I've done several selenium installs and have been very happy with them, especially for the price. they can get very loud and sound very clear. If you're considering multiple seleniums per door vs a single beyma I'd do the multiple mids. Should let you get the desired volume out of them without pushing into distortion.

Yes you'll want some type of bandpass xover for the mids, meaning a LPF and HPF, so they don't play down too low or up too high.

Have not heard beyma's yet, so I can't comment on them.
