LiftedZR2
Whats up guys. I am new around here as far as posting anything. I've been checkin out everyone elses builds for the last couple of months. All I have to say is WOW! I have been in to car audio for the last 17 years doing installs for friends, then moved on up to workin in different stereo shops around Oklahoma. I no longer work for a shop fulltime but I do however still build custom enclosures and do all of the custom work (which isn't very much) at Advantage Audio in Elk City, Oklahoma. I now work as a welder in the oilfield industry (pay is much better!). Anyways lets get down to buisness. It has been 8 years since I have got to build anything for my self. Getting married, having kids and working 70 to 80 hours a week has pretty much takin up all of my time and money to do anything like I had back in the day. I have never been a big picture taker, not even of my own work. I will share some of my old work and some of my new work along the way. Hope you guys like it. LiftedZR2
a few equipment pics for ya a shot of the stinger roadkill pro. Lots more to come I didnt get to take to many pics of building the box cause my son kept wanting to play with the camera. the box is 6 cf with 2 6" aero ports tuned to 39hz, I am usually a slot port kind of guy but I really wanted to try something different. next step on the box is to get the inside coated with resin and paint it as smooth as a babies arse. 1998 GMC ZR2 5" BDS suspension lift, 2" bodylift with 33" tires 1- Alpine iDA-X305SBT headunit w/imprint 2- DD 9500 18's dual 4's 2- DD S2b 2700 watts Each of old school class A/B power 1- DD S4b 4 channel for mids and highs 1- CDT HD 20th anniversary componet with upstage kit 2- CDT ES 6 3/4" mids for midbass in doors. LiftedZR2
No fiberglass on this one. Just gonna resin the inside of the box and paint it to reduce turbulence. 1998 GMC ZR2 5" BDS suspension lift, 2" bodylift with 33" tires 1- Alpine iDA-X305SBT headunit w/imprint 2- DD 9500 18's dual 4's 2- DD S2b 2700 watts Each of old school class A/B power 1- DD S4b 4 channel for mids and highs 1- CDT HD 20th anniversary componet with upstage kit 2- CDT ES 6 3/4" mids for midbass in doors. Good bracing always helps Notched out the bottom of the baffle to flush mount the sub amp. 1/2" ring for the aeroports to be flush when I do the trim panels might as well use the cheap stuff for smoothing out the inside of the box.
