dc level 3 15" help

Recommended Posts

One other thing. If you run 1 Level 3 on that amp at 1 ohm daily, make sure you order plenty of recones.

2 of my level 3's took an m2a @ 1 ohm for a couple of days..roughly 1300 unclamped rms each...they did get hot after about 45 minutes..but i never let em get smelly.

I know that in a perfect application and done by someone who knows what they ares doing that they can take a good bit of power, but without knowing the OPs skill level I just cannot recommend running much more than rated power to the subs.

Stock, the 15" lvl3 is a great sealed box sub.

can you put in words how nice???

I'm planning on doin 2 sealed in grand prix.

Only have 4.0-4.2 cuft max for them..

Plenty of power, amp is mmats dhcx2200.1

I've always liked the sound of sealed boxes... Lol

4ft^3 is a little small for a pair. They're high Qts, high Vas, and low Fs subs, so larger sealed boxes should work well. Spec wise they are great sealed box subs. If there's any way you could squeeze another ft^3 or so in there I think they'd like that better. Maybe use some polyfil and see how that works for you.

I did have a 4 12 sealed set-up awhile back.

2 seperate boxes for a total of 5.7ish. Should i go that route with some lvl 2 12's?? I know there would be cone area and motor force...

Car is 97-03 style grand prix..
