Twenty four hour call and eighty plus hours a week and having a newborn at home take up all my time. 1998 GMC ZR2 5" BDS suspension lift, 2" bodylift with 33" tires 1- Alpine iDA-X305SBT headunit w/imprint 2- DD 9500 18's dual 4's 2- DD S2b 2700 watts Each of old school class A/B power 1- DD S4b 4 channel for mids and highs 1- CDT HD 20th anniversary componet with upstage kit 2- CDT ES 6 3/4" mids for midbass in doors. Trying to upload to Photobucket now..............taking forever. I'll post them as soon as I can. Tried a hairtrick the other day as well, but didn't have a clue what song to play. fecupe2001 Posted April 29, 2011 Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 What´s the tuning of your box?? lower frequencies are the one that moves more air easily, but also depends on your box, what´s the bandwith of your box so far?? 35 to 60 hz? 30 to 60 hz? 40 to 60 hz? try a hairtricks with the lowest frequency your box can play without bottoming the sub out... I know which songs SOUND good, but the problem is, I don't know what the frequency of those songs are. We tried a hairtrick the other day, but as soon as the bass hit real low, one of the amps went into protect (I obviously had the volume too high for that note). I've set my gains around our peak frequency, and know where the volume should be to impress the meter, but haven't messed with the real low stuff much as of yet.
