So i'm looking to do the big 3 in 1/0 gauge and also upgrade my power/grounds for my amp to 4 gauge. Would the chart below be an accurate way to determine what size fusing I would need for my big 3 1/0 gauge (positive battery to alternator fuse) and also my 4 gauge power to my amplifier. If this chart is correct then that means I should use a 325 amp fuse for my big 3 and a 125 amp fuse for my 4 ga power?

Wire Gauge | Recommended Maximum Fuse Size

00 awg | 400 amps

0 awg | 325 amps

1 awg | 250 amps

2 awg | 200 amps

4 awg | 125 amps

6 awg | 80 amps

8 awg | 50 amps

10 awg | 30 amps

12 awg | 20 amps

14 awg | 15 amps

16 awg | 7.5 amps

These are the recommended maximum fuse ratings for the corresponding wire size. Using a smaller fuse than what's recommended here will be perfectly safe.

you get that from BCAE1.com? that site is solid. you can trust it all. remember that chart is assuming OFC wire. if you have CCA then i would make the max rating of a full run of 1/0 250amps.

also remember how long the wire is plays a big role in the amount of power a wire can handle.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
