bmfcustoms Posted April 11, 2011 Report Share Posted April 11, 2011 So, I had an sa-8 donated to me by a good friend of mine. All he said was "it quit working. You want it?" Well, of course! Anyways, I pulled it apart. Turns out, coil was minty fresh. Tinsel leads were burnt through. Its already apart now tho so its recone time. Is there anydthing I can do to upgrade with the recone? The cooling slavers for the basket? Better coil? Better spider? Leads? I'm planning on building a box tuned more for numbers, Just for fun. Never had a chance to play with spl much. Lol! sundownz Posted April 11, 2011 Report Share Posted April 11, 2011 We really don't have anything optional aside from progressive updates made to them... we use a different spider with larger leads compared to original and also tooled a new surround that is wider and taller. I am out right now but I had some SPL coils too -- which lose too much low-end for me to suggest for daily.
