Powerbass Remote Help !!

I just received this remote for my Powerbass amp,

My question is that after i ran the wire and spent a lot of time running it right where i wanted it, i went to plug it in and noticed that even with it turned all the way up, that when i plug it in i loose a little bass. Granted its not much but its enough that i can tell and if ya'll are like me , we all want everything we can get out of our subs !!

I plugged it in with it turned all different ways, say plug it up turned all the way down or all the way up, or in the middle and still when its peaked out and i un-plug itmy bass gets a little louder, then when i plug it back in i loose a slight amount of bass. I installed the cable with my amp set to where it needs to be, i just wanted the remote so i could turn it down easier for when my kids are in the car, any suggestions ??

Turn the gain up some, but make sure its not messing with the signal. Sometimes when you tune an amp you do want to have the bass knob plugged in and tuned.
