tuflon
Alright guys, im new to car audio but am trying my best to figure out what I want to go with. I have a 2003 mercedes benz s500. I have the factory bose speakers but have talked with a well recomended audio shop about doing my install and they said they can do it. I plan on going with a kendwood DNX6960 head unit, I already have a custom woodgrain dash kit. I plan on running 2 FI BTL subs and would like to also run a hifonics mono amp for the subs and a hifonics 4 channel for the factory bose. The installers said they could tie it in. What does my build sound like so far and what recomendations do you guys have. Will I need to add a battery or alternator? Once again im new so cut me a little slack. Thanks guys. blownengine
I wouldn't tie an amp into the factory bose speakers. They won't handle it. And those are high quality woofers. Don't cheap out and get a low ass amp. And if you are giving those BTL's 4000 watts you DEFINITLY need upgrades. A new alternator and a battery or two. No offence but if you are new at this maybe you should cut back. You are getting in pretty deep. blownengine
I mean thats not a very common car for aftermarket alternators. You might be screwed. Try calling teh companies too. I know DC makes alot more models then their site lists.
