Recommended Posts

trying to make a burp box for a 15" XL

currently we have 2k rms to give it. not sure if we can get more or not.

anyway the box will utilize an 8" aero tuned around 45 (peak is about 47)

but idk what size the box should be. i only deal with daily so this is a new venture. help me out

that´s for the mustang or what car? tuning it´s too high if you are looking for something like a 47 hz peak, but once again, i dunno what car is it or the resonant frequency of it.

About box size, well, i love small boxes for burp, but you don´t have the power for a good small as hell box, you need an eficient box , specially since the peak you are looking for isn´t high at all, once again, i´m trusting your word saying it´s a 47 hz tuning. Said that, i would start with 3.5 cubic feet and start shrinking it until you find the sweet spot, i´m asuming you have a sensor to test with right?? if you don´t , then i would guess something like 3.2 cubic feet and a 8" aero with a 42-43 hz tuning should get you a nice score on the frequency you are looking for, but you know how SPL is, test test and test!!

its a 93 Blazer and we found the resonant frequency to be 47

talked to team Bassick and i think 2.5 cubes is the box size

I built a burp box for my one DC XL 15 and tuned it to 45hz which in my Xterra actually is about 48-49hz. My burp box is a little over 3cuft. I'm running a AQ3500d giving it about 4300watts
