IH8PunkRok
trying to make a burp box for a 15" XL currently we have 2k rms to give it. not sure if we can get more or not. anyway the box will utilize an 8" aero tuned around 45 (peak is about 47) but idk what size the box should be. i only deal with daily so this is a new venture. help me out Quote -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
fecupe2001
that´s for the mustang or what car? tuning it´s too high if you are looking for something like a 47 hz peak, but once again, i dunno what car is it or the resonant frequency of it. About box size, well, i love small boxes for burp, but you don´t have the power for a good small as hell box, you need an eficient box , specially since the peak you are looking for isn´t high at all, once again, i´m trusting your word saying it´s a 47 hz tuning. Said that, i would start with 3.5 cubic feet and start shrinking it until you find the sweet spot, i´m asuming you have a sensor to test with right?? if you don´t , then i would guess something like 3.2 cubic feet and a 8" aero with a 42-43 hz tuning should get you a nice score on the frequency you are looking for, but you know how SPL is, test test and test!! IH8PunkRok
its a 93 Blazer and we found the resonant frequency to be 47 talked to team Bassick and i think 2.5 cubes is the box size Quote -Matt2005 Dodge Magnum RTJVC KD-AVX1 2 PPI S580.2 Obsidian Audio ST1 Horn Tweeters PRV 8MB450s Audio Legion 3500.1D 2 RE MT 18s 360 ah LiFePO4 BatterySHCA 2/0 155.2 @ 29 hzKicker CVR 15's buildDD 3512e buildMini T-Line Build(6) 8s BuildNightshade 15s Wall BuildMagnum AB XFL 12s BuildNewest Magnum Build
xterraboy03
I built a burp box for my one DC XL 15 and tuned it to 45hz which in my Xterra actually is about 48-49hz. My burp box is a little over 3cuft. I'm running a AQ3500d giving it about 4300watts Quote 03' NISSAN XTERRA (1) AQ3500d (1) AQ4x90 (1) Audio Control Line Driver (4) DC LVL 4 15's Cresendo Mids and Highs 100' of 0/guage Big Three Mechman 270a Charging @ 16.5v (6) XS D1400's Highest Termlab Score 149.9 at the kick & 166.1 in the Port/ on stock electrical and 1 DC XL M1 Updated JUNE 2012*****MY BUILD LOG USACI REGION 6 POINTS LEADER 2011 USACI KANSAS RECORD HOLDER 2011 Team DC http://www.dcsoundlab.com/
