well i got an eclipse yesterday and it came with a kenwood kdc mp335 headunit it looks like an older model but it had preamps and everything so i hooked my 15in rockford p1 sub up to it and when i was going to hook up the remote wire i didnt know which wire i was supposed to hook it up to so what i did was i hooked it up to remote to power but i ran it through a toggle switch so it wouldnt drain my battery but i dont have my keys on me right now so i cant test it i had it hooked up in my room for a long time and did it like this using a computer powersource to run it but should it work fine or do i need to hook the remote wire up to my headunit and if i do which wire am i supposed to hook it up to? thanks in advance

Typically the remote wire is blue.

solid blue or a lighter blue or blue white thats the ones i've seen.

remote wire on all aftermarket head units is blue with a white stripe.

no its going to be blue and white. Blue is power antenna. How do some of you feel comfortable giving advice.

im not saying you are/were pulling it out your ass. i thought some radios had solid blue remote wires but i guess im wrong and my eyes decived me.
