Switchin up batteries..suggestions?

Recommended Posts

Apparently my 2 out of 3 of my hc's are bad..after having to jump my truck this morning i decided to pull each battery out..2 of them were below 11v and the other one was at 12.8v..charged them and the ones that were low were discharging very quickly..within 20 minutes they went from 12.9 down to 11.8. So what are some reccomendations on new batteries? Not looking for overkill right now just something that will allow me to bump and keep my voltage above 12.5-13v..Running a mechman 270 amp alt, YT under the hood..amp is a 40.1 wired at 1/2 ohm

Summitracing.com has them but you are going to pay full retail price+shipping for them...gets a little pricey. Hit up amazon.com you can normally get deals on stuff on there plus cheap or free shipping. Xs batts are probably the way to go. I know Deka batteries last for freaking ever too, as they make the lift batteries in the plan I work at. I would probably go with XS though...They stand behind their products.

i guess i will find that out with time, if it happenes. xs is obv very very good because of everyone running them. there just a little pricy. (yes i know, you get what you pay for)

So if i was to go with say the d2700's how many do you think would suffice? Also, thinking about putting a d6500 under the hood to replace the YT
