onyx1silverado Posted May 11, 2011 Author Report Posted May 11, 2011 (edited) So if I go 3 ft total, do I need to make the box a little bigger to compensate for the the port or is it 3 ft and leave it at that. Also can I still do a down firing box? And will going ported sound better in a hatch like my cube than a sealed box. The max dimensions would be 37 wide 13 deep and open to height and that is with subs and port up. matt402 Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 id do 37"W x 13"D x 18"H. box comes out to 3.1 cubes net after displacements. port should be 11.5"H x 4"W x 25.25"L tuning comes out to 36hz. Quote

Is there anything wrong with going with a 1 or 2 inch slot port so that it doesn't have to be as long?
