tip n tell
Is it possible to mount just the internals of a small 100 watt amp in my glove box ?? there will be nothing else in the glove box with it other than a small fan. Would it be safe , regardless of would it be smart, just would it be safe too ? It should work just fine. ----A horrible pic, but you get the idea !! I always like to do something a little different and since this is such a small amp especially disassembled, i thought it would look awesome mounting just the internals since it all comes apart well and i would have the fan on it and maybe so some cool lighting to showcase it when you open the glove box !! I would not use the amp without a heat sink on the output chip, it will over heat even with a fan, get a small block of aluminum for the chip. STEvil
Just put a big heatsink on the mosfet and call it good, no need for the fan. Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
