16v And 12v

If you have an amp that shines with 16v, can you run a 16v power to it without messing with your whole car's 12v? I have seen the 16v Kinetics, but how could you charge it with your car 12v and not ruin anything?

dual altys and separate electrical. or just use charger for 16v

Just remember anytime your running a amp on 16 volt for a daily driver sooner or later it will fail. Its like giving your amp crack and seeing how long it can keep a job.
