SwaggerWagon Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Currently I have two level 4 12's, each Dual 2 ohm. Each one is powered by a RF P500.1 mono amp. The amps are gain matched at 615 watts each, but I'm saving up so I can give each sub somewhere around 12-1500 watts. I have all the wiring run for a dual amplifier setup, so I'd like to stick with that. I was looking at two t1500bdcp amps, but can I strap them? Any other suggestions for amp choices? I'd like to have some overhead so I don't need to be so aggressive on the gain knobs. Thanks for y'alls help!

SwaggerWagon Posted May 10, 2011 Author Report Posted May 10, 2011 Alright. And after reading some more, I'm not quite sure how I'd wire the subs to two strapped amps..maybe I should be asking if they have a master/slave option to gain match? Or is strapping amps not too difficult?
fecupe2001 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Depends on the amplifier, but they are easy to strap, for example, my amplifiers doesn´t have amaster/slave switch, just RCA inputs and outputs for that, also, positive wire from subs goes to positive of the master, negative of the subs goes to positive of the slave, and a jumper from negative to negative of each amp, is that easy I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
