lowsound10 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 First one just wondering but my remote switch gets pretty darn hot, and i was wondering why this happens? Second one is a box questions. I plan to rebuild a box for my sub (in my sig). I am also planning on putting 1000wrms to it. I love lows, but i also wondered if i tune low like 32hz how is it possible to have a wide range with it still being ported? Say like it will play to 40 hz or 45hz just as strong as 32hz. Such as bigger port volume or port area per foot. I know sealed box but im not going to do that. Heres what i got planned now... Sub up port to the right. I also was going to do 2 .75 inch on the top for the sub. Thanks for the help guys. fecupe2001 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 Box specs looks good to me, about playing highs you should be able, i´m tuned at 32 hz and i can play strong to 48 hz , those RE´s SX are very nice, you can always cut down the port lenght and raise tuning a little bit if you don´like how it plays Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. lowsound10 Posted May 11, 2011 Author Report Posted May 11, 2011 Thanks haha yeah i know i could but like i said i love the lows just want to be able to play a lil higher in the hz range but still play lows strong if that makes sense. Kinda like a strong 32 to 45 hz range instead of just a strong 32 to 35 ish hz range. understand? haha im kinda confusing my self now Quote Vehicle: 2008 Mustang V6 Exterior: Blacked Out Taillights, Turn Signals, Side Markers-Black 18x8 Enkei ls5-6000k HID's Interior: Blue LED Strips with Module for Music-Hardwired Beltronics RX65 with Blue LED and remote button Sub: 2 10 inch custom subs Amp: Hifonics BRz 2600 Wire: Knu 0 gauge Headunit: Kenwood kiv-bt901 Damplifier: Fatmat Rattletrap Electrical: Stock Alt/Stock Battery/Big 3
fecupe2001 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 That sub should play VERY nice under tuning, if you want to play from 32 to 45 hz i wouldn´t tune @ 32 hz hommie, i would tune around 35 or 36 hz, that should get you loud on the bandwith you are looking for... fecupe2001 Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 First time i hear something like that in my life lol, i don´t know what´s wrong with your remote!! About the box, well, it has a very nice internal space but i haven´t work much with those so i might be wrong, but yeah, i would tune that thing no lower than 35 hz if you want to play strong the 40-45 hz frequencies Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
