iceman1575 Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Found this little tidbit out tonight. Most Sony headunits nowadays come with a feature called Digital Music Plus (DM+ in the Settings). Meant to enhance the sound of digital audio files, it actually makes them worse. I was playing around with the settings on my GT55, turned it off, and noticed a HUGE clarity increase. Now I just can't wait to get my new subs in and see how they sound then Figured I'd share that little tidbit, as the Sony h/u's come with it On from the factory. POTATO!

I liked it, but it died pretty much anything to "enhance" low quality audio is going to make it sound like shit. MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
