If you want to run at half ohm and rely on rise you better have a stout electrical to put behind it. To me there is NO sense in running a 1 ohm stable amp at .5 in a daily application just to hope you get more power. I can understand in a competition vehicle where you only burp one freq and know all of the variables of your particular install. When playing music your rise is going to change with every frequency in the song. You may be seeing 2 ohms one second and 13 ohms the next. is that a cheap shot cj? im seeing 13+ ohms all the time =[ FML. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And want I would want to upgrade all I have to do buy2 more subs and another big amp. Oh and in my opinion 1 big amp is cooler then 2 little ones. ^^^ Or if you want some head room and have the electrical, get two DC 5k's for your future setup.
