Kevin M
In an ib setup the more cone area the better. Fit the largest driver you can. He's not wrong. Thats why I chose 2 18" for my IB setup. The driver you gave us a link to has a high qts which is a plus. It also is low power. You dont need much wattage with an IB. I would say try it but it is expensive. There are plenty of drivers that will work in an IB. You just have to make sure you don't bottom out the drivers mechanically, make sure your baffle doesn't vibrate, and sel off the trunk from the cabin as best you can. I have gained 3 db in output by sealing the trunk vent and the rear deck Most drivers that have a stiff suspension are good candidates for IB. It's just not as popular as other enclosures. C.Sanchez.A
The setup I'm doing for the IB is not for competition or DBs. My girl friend just wants a thump in her car while still keeping all of her trunk space. But, now I'm starting to think I'm just going to make a custom fibreglass box to fit in the corner of her trunk. Then put a 8'' sealed. C.Sanchez.A
http://www.audioque.com/NEW-Street-Duty-SDC20-10-D4-Subwoofer-_p_68.html I'm not to knowledgeable on sub specs. Is it good for IB or just for a small sealed box?
