bassrace Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 And any deck would work with that, even that little cheap one for walmart in the above comments? Yea bro that jvc kd-s15 is cheap and very nice for the price 79.00 bucks and it gets real loud. Bro forreal man if i was you i would look into fi,dc,audioque, sundown lower end subs they all have great subs that are underated for a good price go with what suites your style i found mine everyones diff dont go buy some subs just because someone else thinks theyre good all those brands i mentioned are great check them out man. Just fyi if i was you and was lookin to upgrade later down the road get a single sub setup b/c you can afford a little more beastly sub if you buy one and you will still be loud and be able to double up or get another and really be poundin instead of having to buy all new subs to upgrade you could just get one. Like a AQ hdc3, level 4 dc, fi q or bl, sundown sa the list goes on. Good luck in your search bro feel free to ask any questions bro 145.9@40hz 145.3@34hz big 3 X2 group 34 Deka Group 31 All 0/1 awg jl meta wire Alpine CDA 7894 Orion HCCA D5000 2 AQ HDC312's Crunch gpv1100.2 (for 6.5"s only) AQ pro audio 6.5" - 3 sets AQ supertweeters - 2 sets 2000 Slamry
Blackedout Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Amp and Wiring: Autotek - 75 amps of fusing, good for ~ 650+ watts $165 http://www.audiosavings.com/products/Mono-Car-Amplifier/AUTOTEK-ATX2000.1-MONO-BLOCK-CAR-AMPLIFIER--AMP-KIT/ATX2000.1+---+WK41.aspx Highs Amp: Autotek - 50 Amps of fusing, good for ~ 225 watts @ 4 ohms. $110 http://www.audiosavings.com/products/4-Channel-Car-Amplifier/AUTOTEK-ATX1200.4-1200-WATT-MAX-4-CHANNEL-CAR-AMPLIFIER/ATX1200.4.aspx 2x Hifonics Hfi $80 http://www.audiosavings.com/products/12-Inch-Car-Subwoofer/HIFONICS-HFI12D4-12-600-WATT-DVC-CAR-AUDIO-SUBWOOFER/HFI12D4.aspx or 1x alpine type r 12 (Needs to be dual 2) $118 http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/swr-1242d.aspx Used Deck w/ 6 channel preouts: Pioneer DEH-6000UB $125 http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/head-units-processors-eqs/84831-pioneer-deh-p6000ub-single-din.html $480 W/ the Hifonics subs, $520 w/ the Alpine type R That gives you an extra $80- $120 for a dash kit, a pair of 4 channel RCAs, Distribution block, and MDF.... Amplify your stock mids/ highs. Turn the midbass down on them so they can handle the additional power and research how to set the high and lowpass filters on your highs amps. If you blow them down the road, you probably learned what not to do and if you still like car audio you'll probably have a better idea what you want to get. In addition, not having to take off door panels and just having to run 4 sets of speaker wires to the harness is as easy as it gets. $700 in the future will allow you to double everything and have matching equipment with a nice set of aftermarket mids/ highs. $1300 and you'd have a solid beginner system. $1500 and you'd have a solid beginner system with the electrical to keep up with it. Or if you don't like it, you won't loose anything on it. Trunk Build Log
LuckyatVMI Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Go with audiopipe.. 1- audiopipe txx-apx12 $140, 1- audiopipe ap15001d $160, 4gauge wiring kit $60-$100. Now you still have about $200 for a radio. Go on eBay search stores and find vminnovations, very good to deal with and super fast delivery. You'll be more than happy with the audiopipe equipment. It's got better specs than most subs available at almost any price point.. By the way vminnovations has its own store, and best prices will be on vminnovations.com website NOT eBay - I should know since I'm with VMI. Cheers, Lucky - Scientia potentia est -
