Is this right?

Amps = Watts/Volts

Is this a good way to get an estimate of my power capabilities? Trying to get a general idea of what I can run off of a 180 amp alt with a reliable batt under the hood.

That is a correct formula.

So for example.

180 amps x 13.5 volts = 2430 watts

But that's in a perfect world with no parasitic draw from the vehicle, etc. etc. and all that stuff.
