Help Fiberglassing Inside Of Box

i just got two 15" BTLs and instead of a double thick box,i want to fiberglass the entire inside. I plan on using the 29 oz mat Steve uses bc ive heard nothing but good things about it bt i got a quick question. Should i resin all the wood first to let it saturate a little and then lay the mat? or should i just be laying the mat down and then resining over it?

i would spend that extra money on wood to double wall on all sides of your box, heavy, but will be strong as fuck unless your resin layer is gonna be bigger than 3/4inch thick.

what I do is resin the area then lay my mat, then saturate the mat with more resin, make sure there isnt any air bubbles or pockets you can get a resin roller @ tap plastics, it will help you get all the bubles out.

alright thanks david, thats what im gonna do. that mat strong enough ya think?

I think that it will be fine as long as you double or triple layer the glass, the pressure that a couple of subz can make is unbelievable sometimes, so I would make it as strong as you can.
