i have two kicker cvx 122 wired 2 ohms, 4.6 ft3 and tuned to 32hz with a kx2500.1 turned up to 63.6 volts 2000rms, and i just competed and got 144.5dbs,now when i was competing i had 30 sec and they had told me to start at 52hz and then they said higher and the db was going down so i ignored them and jumped down to 46 and the dbs jumped from 139 to 144, so my question is what should be the best hz to play when competing or where should i start and work my way up to? thanks

box peak doesn't have anything to do with car peak, they told you to burp around 52 hz thinking you could get a good score, but if your box is tuned so low and it's so god damn big, i wouldn't try anything higher than 44 hz depending on the car, just speaking basic things out, i could say that your peak might be something like 40-43 hz, but you need a sensor to try that out, would be easier for you to do it before a comp, just saying...

do a sweep and the term lab will tell you the peak frequency. otherwise, start at 32 and jump up a few frequencies at a time until the score starts to go down.
