Multi-alt Charging Question

Will the battery in the front experience a quicker heavier charge or over charge situation with no loads on for extended periods of time? Does it regulate like stock single alt systems as far as charging the main front battery. For reference lets just say this example has only the main battery up front and two 300 h/o alts for multiple high amperage draw amplifiers that the 2 alts cover with 20 % left for saftey & reliability reasons.

its difficult to under stand...

but basically ur asking will your batts over charge from ur alts if the system isn't wanging ?

if thats it..

then no... it shouldn't... since the alts charge at 14.4 and shouldn't go over...

but thats a total guess-ta-mation... only helped since u were getting no luck..

Pretty much it has to do with physics & the laws of electronics. When you have anything (like batts) wired in parallel, the electric current & voltage evens itself out naturally. This is why it's very important to have the least resistant path possible AKA FAT wires to the batts in the rear. That gives you a higher overall flow of things in terms of having somewhere for the electrons to go to (& go to quickly).

As for your question regarding overcharging, no they won't. The electrical system of your car is somewhat complicated in this area, I mean basically just by having the key in the ignition there is a constant draw of energy like lights, sparkplugs, radio without subs, AC, etc. Any left over energy not being used from you powerful alts with simply be dissappated by increased shocks everytime you get in & out of your car. This is one of the reasons your car has a chassis ground & can store more electrons than your alts could generate in years. You'll have more powerful & frequent shocks when you touch your car door on the days you don't play your stereo because you will be a direct path to EARTH ground to dissapate the stored up energy into the cement,soil, what have you. Earth acts like a never-ending capacitor FYI.
