Michael18045
I am planning on getting two Orion hcca 12s at two ohms, but I'm going to wire down to one ohm each and run an amp to each, but I don't know what amps to go with that will push at least 3000 watts at one ohm.. I have a limited budget around 900$ for two powerful amps that will do this. Anyone know what amps are good for this?
n8ball2013
two dual 2s will not get you to one ohm Quote THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. Michael18045
I'm not wiring them together they will be separate
Michael18045
So in parallel each by themselves they wire to one ohm right? Because it splits the impedance
n8ball2013
amp to each i guess its my reading comprehension. you are going to be very hard pressed to get two amps in your budget. audiopipe will do it but im not sure the impedence will be right. a crescendo 5500 would do it but not at your impedence. deeje
Separate amps nate. And either the new crescendo. Bc 3000 or aq 2200 maybe. You really need more money for a decent amp. Holy fuckin super ninjaed. Michael18045
WEll it says peak at 4000 watts so I figured I'd try and find a 3000 watt amp for each one but I'm not sure which I should do. I was going to get two Hifonics brz 2400s to each but is that enough power for them?
n8ball2013
half the peak i believe they are 2000 watts rms. i wouldnt run hifonics if you have a 900 dollar budget. much better out there in the 450 price range for both.
