blownengine Posted June 2, 2011 Report Share Posted June 2, 2011 My friend has two older P1 15's and they both have bad coils. (One is frozen and the other is unwound). From what I found the voice coil on these is only 1.5 inches and I am having trouble finding some new ones of that size. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know these arn't the greatest woofers ever but we want to line up the prices first before we decide to recone or buy something else. If you replace the coils wont you have to replace the cone, spider, and tinsels and former as well? You know how you avoid that?
