TheyDontWantMusic
I tried other tones, its still peaking at 36Hz. 145.6dB isn't so bad, but 146dB was better
TheyDontWantMusic
double layer on the top, and some bolts, trying to reduce the horrible flex the box has! don't know if it'll increase my SPL, doesn't really matter as its intended as a musical box anyway
Ray
Box vol seems about right to me. But you need more port. I like my vents at least 10" long. Min. Build looks pretty good Your dip in freq is most likely an air leak somewhere. I would polyfill your sealed section if you havent yet. 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
TheyDontWantMusic
just tested again this morning with the reinforced box, did 146.5dB, backed up with a 146.6dB sealed, on the dash, dB drag, Street C legal.
TheyDontWantMusic
silly me didn't round the internal end of the port before I assembled the box, and the router doesn't fit inside the box. so, dremel, flap disc, and an orbital sander, and I ended up with this, not great, but it'll do. also added some silicone sealant and duct tape alone some joins, and gasket foam along others. Added a second layer to the back of the box as well to reduce flex. tomorrow, I shall see if its louder!

Ray
That port is basically just a hole in the box. Really need more vent and longer. 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
