adam6604
hey guys, in my truck i have my current stinger 4AWG wire kit, for my Alpine MRP-M1000.. but i also bought a tsunami 0AWG kit that i havent installed, but i was wondering if running my 0awg power wire and ground instead of my 4awg would make that big of a difference for my new Hifonics BRZ2400.1D amp.. cause i can't fit my 0AWG through the grommet im using with my 4awg and i dont wana be cutting anything lol.. ALSO! if i could have some input, im selling my 2 15" RE SX subs and buying 2 more Kicker CVR 12's ( that'll leave me with 4 kickers ) on a Hifonics BRZ2400 amp.. ive had the RE's for like 3 months.. and haven't had the time or energy to get around to building a box. i attempted to build a box and failed, closest audio shop wants 600$ to build a box for me and install. so, i was thinking of using 4 of the kicker CVR 12's in factory ported kicker boxes ( cause i already have a pair) in place of my backseat in my dodge ram. basically im asking how do you think 4 12" CVRs on 1800RMS will sound compared to 2 15" RE sx's on 1800rms lol i wanna know if im making a good or bad decision. CaptainzPlanetz
You should be fine as long as you have a battery in the trunk and you only have a 1 or 2 foot run to the battery, ran an AQ2200 for a while like that with 0 problems. Supercharged DCs
I say bad decision. I'd stick with the RE SXs, just build a proper box for them. It's not hard And yes, you will need to use 0gauge wiring for that new amp. What kind of electrical system do you have that will support the BRZ2400.1? Quote Bassless once again. adam6604
i would make money selling my 15's and buying another set of kickers, so far my 2 kickers in my truck on 1000 watts is super loud around here lol couple of my buddies wont sit in my truck ( LOL, give it that its a very small redneck town lol ) and everyones was all amazed when i had 4 kicker 12s before.. but i only had 1000watt amp so i sold a pair. and im REALLY leaning towards the 4 kickers just because i would make money back, and 4 subs looks bad ass lol Quote Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. Supercharged DCs
Seems like you already have your mind made up then. Do what makes you happy Just be sure to install another GOOD battery to support that amp. XS Power D3400 would work nicely. Quote Bassless once again.
