Apple tv + 7in headrest monitor + pioneer single din

so while im saving funds for my upcoming amps and batts and broke at the same time, i picked up a apple tv 1st generation (160gb), a 7in headrest monitor, and a pioneer single din deck. before, i had a boss double din(i know i know, but been doing me good for a year with ZERO issues). since im tired of buying dvds after dvds, i decided to buy couple of stuff(what the title says) and see if it works. so i spend right under $80 out of pocket(since i traded my amp for the pioneer deck w/ 4 small 8s, sold my boss h/u and used the money towards the apple tv, and the rest for my 7in monitor.)

now pay attention to the A/C control. you guys will find out why.

so i get started on taking off the bezel.

i was riding around with no h/u for almost 2 weeks until i decided to work on it. the way i installed the monitor is that i found some bendable metal(dont know the terminology) and i screwed it on a hole that best fit with the philips head screw. like this

i tried using krazy glue, but with the thin edge on the bezel, the glue wouldnt hold on to the bracket, so i went to plan b. lol

now notice the left side of the bracket with that lip, the top and bottom lip has been trimmed since when i put the bezel back, it would close. so i used my mighty dremel mini grinder to do that job.

Lookin good mane. Now you just have to make a little molding to cover any gaps in the headunit.

On the monitor, no gaps, on the single din, big time. Without that trim piece on the stereo, it looks naked since it was like 1/8 of an inch too thick to have the bezel snap back into place. I got more pics and will upload in a minute

here's the pic of my apple tv

and here is the deck i got

before i relocated the deck, heres a couple of pics with my apple tv on

now i ran the wires to where i was gonna place the h/u at

so i did a test fit on it and came out pretty good. so i thought i was finally done

but when i connected the wire and the rcas to the deck, for some reason, the left side of the deck was sticking out more than right side.

and this was the reason

that the vent for the fan, with a huge lip. so i had to take out mr.dremel. lol

and i thought about it, so i said "fuck it, im going for it"

did a little trimming i thought i was good. but still the same issue. i happen to trip the top lip of it, but ends up being the bottom. so i trimmed the bottom lip a lil bit. when i test fitted for the second time, still same issue, but wasnt sticking out as much. so i did it again, but one side, i made a tiny dip

and then guess what...I WAS OFF BY HALF AN INCH. so after many curses and swears, i trimmed from the tiny dip i made to all the way to the end on the left(forgot to take a pic).

finally got it fit.

now i finished off by putting the pieces back. i couldnt find a place for the a/c control, so i put the control in my glov compartment for the meanwhile until i run the wires to the glove compartment. so im done....for now and i like the outcome of it

now, i got to wait for my vga to s-video cable so i wont have any problem watching any video in black and white. apple tv is only component and hdmi, but my monitors are only compiste. lol. the reason you guys see everything in color is because i found a trick that will make a component into standard, but when i turn off the car, and back on again, it turns back to black and white. so im waiting for the lil converter i ordered on ebay. should be here by tomorrow....i hope
