Like they said yep you can wire 8 d4s into a 1 ohm load. series them all to be 8 ohm then parallel them all to a 1 ohm load. Just to allow a more even flow of electricity I would make two sets of four 8 ohm woofers to get each set of four to 2 ohms then I would parallel your 2 sets of 2 ohm loads together to get 1 ohm.
