shotime216 Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 I have a 2002 Monte Carlo. I have 4 6.5 inch American Bass mids on a 3,000 watt American Bass SQ amp. I have a friend who has less speakers and a smaller amp and he has the same speakers but his seem louder for some reason. He told me that my amp is to big for my speakers he said I should get a smaller amp. Im trying to figure out if this true and if its not true what can i do to make them louder without buying some more speakers. Also if this helps there 8ohm 300watts. thanks
iKidwell Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 your friend is a fucking idiot for saying that more watts = less sound...he might just have his installed differently, and placed better. c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress

LMAO!! To be real his speakers are in the same location as mine. He installed them in his car. He keeps saying if I give him $100 dollars he will rewire mine to sound like that. Im trying to figure out what other way he could have wired them.
