18abVFL Posted June 21, 2011 Report Share Posted June 21, 2011 okay, i drive a 1999 monte carlo (trunk) and i dont have much space to work with for my 2 Type R 12s. The biggest i can do is 32w x 24d x 14.5h. I've built myself many boxes for all the systems i've had, and they were all done with a slot port. I wanna experiment with a some flared precision ports, probably (three) 4 inch ports. That leaves me no room on the back of the box to do subs back, port back. And it barely laves me any room on the side of the box to put ports (when you take in consideration sub depth). Basically, i wanna weigh my other options. how would it sound if i did subs back, ports front? or what about fucking some shit up to do subs back, ports up (through the rear panel)? has anyone run these alignments and could help me? 1999 Monte Carlo Sony CDX-GT34w 2 Alpine Type R 12"s in 4 cubes tuned to 35hz American Bass VFL 80.1 amp @ 1 ohm (probably doing between 1000 and 1300rms) Stock alt, Stock batt, Big 3 Upgrade Boston s55- 5 1/4s (doors) Boston s95- 6x9s (rear deck) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
