kenton Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 guys im still debating about buyin a 10in Fi Q for my truck. i eventually plan on going with 2 10 Fi Qs but i got a budget right now.im wonderin how is this gonna compare to my 2 fosgate p1 12s? i would really like a system thats gonna be louder than them. but im just worried with it bein a 10. ill probably be goin with a ported box btw.

How much is your budget? well i wanna spend bout 300 then i got an amp already thatll do till i can save up a lil more but total i think i wanna spend bout 600-750 on stuff.

Louisiana Bass Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 A 10" can hit harder than 2 12"s if the power and box is right. My buddy has a JL 10w7 (oh teh noes, a JL!!!) and it slams compared to his 2 old p1 12"s. N8. No homo...unless you want there to be.

How much power were you putting to the p1s? ive been usin a fosgate amp says 1200. im guessin max then prob 500-600 rms?. but its i think from early 2000s.i had it set so i could run them all day tho at max. theyre only 150 rms each. to me it was pretty loud but nobody around here seems to have any nice systems. its a upper middle class area but all i seem to see are sony xplods.

How much power were you putting to the p1s? just found the specs for wat im doin now. so yea prob bout 300rms to the p1 12s then i would like to grab at least a 1000 watt amp. id like to get a fosgate amp. i see they got that prime 1200 rms amp but doesnt look like its gonna run very cool.
