dodge caravan gauges not working after stereo install.......Help please

So I installed a stereo on my father in laws van. It is a 1997 dodge grand caravan . I did nothing different than unplugging the battery and running a few wires, hooking up speakers, installing stereo unit and connecting everything else back including the battery. The problem now is, the temperature, speedometer, and fuel gauges don't work. Also, the motor fan blower stayed working on low and it wont shut off unless i disconnect the relay. I have installed many stereos and this has never happened. Please, if there is anyone that can help me out, please i want to prevent taking the van to the shop. Any help will be considered. Thank you!

what kind of wires you ran? i installed HU in my Plymouth grand voyager a while ago, and didn't have this problem. All you have to do is unplug old stereo and connect new wiring harness, antenna and your done.

Process of elimination, back step everything you did. I would plug the stock stereo back in first and see if that fixes the problem. You may have gotten the wrong wire harness for that year of dodge caravan. I just installed a deck into my 2010 caravan and spend almost $200 in parts to install it properly.

I got the connect harness for the van. I installed the dash 5.25 and I ran wires to the front doors because there was no speakers there. The only thing i did was drilled trough the side wall by the door since it is a work van and all my father in law wanted was a stereo. There was no wire i punctured by doing this. This is a new one to me... i have installed many stereos and this has NEVER happened to me.

I know I thought the same thing.... I did this and nothing! still have the problem. I just don't know what he heck to do! o well i guess i gotta pay for someone to fix it.... I have looked at any freaking wire and fuse and everything seem normal.... I just don't know how to reset the cluster... I don't know if these vans can be reset... Thanks...
