whitechocolate
^^Beat me to it..I was sleepin. There is such info in a sticky as well as on the netif you run a search for it. General rule of thumb is 15-45drops of MEKp depending on: Brand of resin, ambient temp, how long you NEED BEFORE it's starts to setup and get hard (i.e. work time), angle of application (like you mentioned about a vertical side, you don't wanna have to hold it there forever so mixing a little "hotter" would speed it up) Nice lookin base so far. Using ONE piece of material instead of many smaller ones will not hurt you in THIS case, however in an application where MAXIMUM STRENGTH or rigidity is needed like in an enclosure, the more OVERLAPPING of smaller pieces you have the stronger the end product will be. You might wanna keep some acetone handy for those lil spots where the resin gets away from you or slops on ur wrist/fore-arms...Acetone isnt the best for your skin/health but it will get the resin off. Keep up the good lookin progress and if you have another Q like the one about the MEKp, post it here, most of us are 24-7 forum junkies. Thanks I'll get that acetone for the spills. 1996 Cadillac FleetwoodCardomain Homepage

whitechocolate
Nice to see that your getting that shit rolling! I should be worth all the trouble in the end! Now I can see why they charge so much to do it for you. I got quoted $2600 for the job with all the electronic install that I already own. Allot of work but I like it. Just dreading when it gets to the sanding part on the face of the consul. 1996 Cadillac FleetwoodCardomain Homepage

The more "care" you take when putting it together, and some lil tricks here and there will save you TONNS of sanding-when you get there, we'll be there to help ya through it. whitechocolate
No updates on this one? I was tuned in but it just fell off...wha happen son? Better have a good excuse mister. Shit pick one. . My daughter got sick then my wife. My wife is finishing up her last term for her bachelors and I had to make two projects for her. One was a classroom the size of four shoe boxes with chairs tables chock boards playground and people. That took up most of my weekends. Came out really good. I even made a bathroom with a kid sitting on the toilet. Funny as hell. And today my radiator cracked. If all things go well I should have an update this weekend. 1996 Cadillac FleetwoodCardomain Homepage

I had to post my eggman sculpture, so it's show and tell time. Texas Tech
i learned that after you wrap the framing in fabric, you should apply only reson, no glass or glass strands. Apply a couple coats of resin and let it cure. If, after you wrap the framing with fabric, and you add glass along with the first application of resin, it can "warp" the shape somehwat. I payed for that and had to make it up with extra work. I had a center console going for my acura, but never finished it. I am now working on it and will hopefully get some pics up to compare to yours for ideas and hopefully some help (cuz i did make a lot of mistakes).
