I've got all the equipment with exception of the LCD screens and I'm actually going to be buying those today, or maybe this week at least. That's all I need now. Having a lowered civic myself, the additional weight of wood alone is substantial not only on the suspension, but the power to weight ratio. When all is said and done you might have 2 sheets of MDF into this build... 160lbs directly over the rears coils. Birch would cost a little more, but it might save you 100 lbs of weight... The only reason I'm on MDF is cause that's all I've used, and in using plywood before making cabinets etc, I've had experiences with lots of burrs and stuff like that. Blackedout Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 I Disagree. Anything with Marine in it is just overpriced. Same wood. Different adhesive, possibly sealed. Get some birch and seal it with resin if moisture is an issue, but birch will withstand moisture much better than MDF in the first place Trunk Build Log
