1st wire, neg on battery to a bolt with clean metal under the hood

2nd wire, engine to another bolt with clean metal

3rd wire, pos on battery to alternator

now on the wire on the alternator U can run a fuse, IMO i never do but its fine to do it either way. with fuse its just the safer way

So if the engine wire is currently going to the battery.. you can disconnect it and ground the engine wire to any good ground location? It does have to be the battery? I dont get how that helps the Amp flow, im confused :(

Ive seen a few different threads saying that where you ground it (battery or chassis) doesn't really make a big difference. I was just confused where my engine ground was at! But I guess I'll just make it wherever I want haha, the shortest run possible because 1/0 ain't cheap!

id leave it the way it is, its just one big circle basically

from what understand ur also grounding the alt to the car itself/chassis when grounding the engine. some alts like mine, dont have a actual bolt on the alt to ground it off so grounding the engine is the next best thing

on mine i went a bit over board:

2x-0g and 4g from neg on battery to chassis

2x-0g from engine to chassis(different spots)

1x-0g from alt to battery

4x-0g to rear batteries from alt

2x-0g from neg on battery to rear batteries :)

That is a poop-ton of 0ga my friend haha

yeah all welding wire, 100ft of it :) not too bad on price actually like $300 or so

its actually nothing compared to what some of the bigger builds on here have

Yeah like last Friday I ordered 25' of monster (got a good deal on it cause the company was making room for new stuff) for $75. But today I went in my shop to do some stuff on my dirtbike and I spotted like a 50' strand of welding wire laying in the corner under a bunch of crap and I was like DAMN haha

Oh and sorry I didn't answer the question earlier! I am going to do my big 3 first with the monster and I am going to run all the wires to my amp in monster 1/0 also... But then after I was going to piggy back the 4ga original wire that goes from batt to batt with a piece of that cadence 0ga, I would have bought more of that cadence but I don't really like it, a whole spool of it weighs like as much as 1ft of monster lol

its good wire, for the price cant beat it i got mine from here

its pretty heavy compared to regular wire of the same size/length

Does it carry up to 300amps? The 1/0 gauge? is it close to the Knu good stuff?

its been working fine, i havent clamped it for exact numbers. i have 300A ANL fuses on mine

its prob alittle smaller than the knu wire, but for being pure copper ill take it

techforce also runs it in his truck i believe

I'm sure that it is! It's most likely just a little bit less flexible because car audio companies want their cable to be flexible more than anything it seams like. But I imagine if it's welding wire that it is good copper
