Dubpower
I have big hands and I could get my wire throw the same place as your mates car. it is easy as pie. here are the pictures here is the atart of with the boot where you feed the wire throw you remove this panel to make it easier to see the wire coming throw this is the wire fed throw, you feed it throw this side of the boot then you will have the wire throw on the other side of the boot remove the kick panel that little circle bit above my finger is a hole where the wire goes throw and your done you can see the hole behinde the rca's here is a better picture of the hole for ya I know there is one there, it is in every vw I have seen. so its not hard to find and there you go and now you can fix the wiring up better now

fli_noize
did u not use a wire harness and looks good so far No I did not for two reasons. 1. The car is brand new and I couldn't find a harness that fit it. 2. Since everything is running to amps I didn't REALLY need one. The RCA's run to the amps. So all I needed to splice was the 12V constant, 12V switch, and the ground. Out of curiosity where did you get the switched ACC from in this car? I know the Can Bus is very sensitive in those cars. blownengine
the little leaver for the bonnet pulls to the right, you do not even need to pull it at all I probably could have, but I couldn't putt the boot off and didn't feel like spending hours at it. My way should still work. did u not use a wire harness and looks good so farNo I did not for two reasons. 1. The car is brand new and I couldn't find a harness that fit it. 2. Yea I found it weird that they dont have a specific switch wire. I tapped into the fuse block with a small wire. Do you see any problems with that? 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT (Yea its got a Hemi)Alpine CDA-105KnuKonceptz 0ga CCA Big 3 with Yellow Top 15" SoundQubed HDC3DC Audio 1.2K (Bass)Pioneer 6x9's (Front)Pioneer 6.5's (Rear)Kicker 3.5's (Dash)Sony amp on the highs. It turned on some other way Also the boot running to the door on this Jetta were very tight to the existing wires. It would have been hard to have even fit a run of 16ga in there. 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT (Yea its got a Hemi)Alpine CDA-105KnuKonceptz 0ga CCA Big 3 with Yellow Top 15" SoundQubed HDC3DC Audio 1.2K (Bass)Pioneer 6x9's (Front)Pioneer 6.5's (Rear)Kicker 3.5's (Dash)Sony amp on the highs. Thanks man The doors suprised me too. The inner and outer skin are almost completely airtight. Every hole was plugged. I think they use that trapped air for sound dampening and maybe insulation. 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT (Yea its got a Hemi)Alpine CDA-105KnuKonceptz 0ga CCA Big 3 with Yellow Top 15" SoundQubed HDC3DC Audio 1.2K (Bass)Pioneer 6x9's (Front)Pioneer 6.5's (Rear)Kicker 3.5's (Dash)Sony amp on the highs.
